Upon completing the video recording of the launch at approximately 9:44 PM (UTC 1:44) I could hear a commercial jet airliner coming toward me, so I turned to the southeast to observe it and video tape it. The jet was approximately 4 to 5 miles to the southwest of my location at approximately 20,000 feet heading northwest about 400 MPH or a little more. My angle was 65 to 75 Degrees. As I was observing and videotaping it, I observed another object or craft coming towards the jet at a very fast speed heading in the same direction. It was about a half a mile southwest of the jet and a few thousand feet higher from my location. My distance and depth perception can be inaccurate from my observation of it. I did not have my glasses on while I was using the binoculars. I focused my view finder to observe the object to obtain the best video I could. The object or craft moved several thousand MPH passing the jet in a northwesterly direction. It appeared to shine intermittently as if the sun was flickering off it. No visible navigational lights blinking such as an aircraft would have. It appeared smaller in size as a dime. I couldn’t observe any structure such as wings or tail such as an aircraft. The commercial jet did not deviate from its course as the object passed to its port side at a higher altitude. I continued to video the object until it went behind trees in the backyard next to the canal running east to west behind my residence. No noise was heard, or any emissions were observed coming from the object. Palm Beach International airport is to the east of my residence where I have observed many aircraft departing and approaching over ten years living at my current residence. I have prior military experience serving the U.S. Navy for 6 years and am familiar with aircraft. I am also a retired law enforcement officer of 23 years.Very interesting video. The orb appears to be moving slower at first and then speeds up. This motion is crucial to rule out a satellite which would travel in a straight line at a constant speed. Can you tell us the type of binoculars you were using to record the video? |
